In 1971, Mick Masters started Miniclipper Logistics. Some years later, in 1979 Geoffrey Furber started aZtec Commercial Cleaning and in 1989 moved to a nearby industrial unit in Leighton Buzzard.
Mick’s son Peter Masters and his daughter in law Jayne Masters joined Miniclipper Logistics and now provide a strong lead as Managing Director and Sales Director. This year in March 2021 Miniclipper Logistics celebrated its 50th anniversary, alongside a huge expansion during the COVID 19 pandemic.
Over the years, both companies have utilised each other’s services. Initially, when aZtec also provided plants and office furniture as well as office cleaning services, Peter and his team was known to help deliver and even assemble office furniture when needed. The company has moved on a lot since then and today, they have a team of 140 people working across 5 sites with the most recent 4 acre Dunstable site opening in 2021 during the pandemic.
Miniclipper Logistics have used aZtec Commercial Cleaning’s office cleaning service and washroom service since 2012, increasing office and warehouse cleaning requirements as they grew over the past 9 years. aZtec Commerical Cleaning has been able to grow with Miniclipper’s needs and maintain standards across a number of sites due to our management strengths, relief cleaning cover, local staffing, dedicated cleaners and regional coverage.
It has been and still is a pleasure to work with a family business who has grown to an impressive size, turning over £15 million annually, whilst still maintaining family values and welcoming in the third generation of Masters to the 140 strong workforce.
Today Miniclipper provides transport, storage and warehousing solutions for the retail, clothing, foods, raw materials, packaged chemicals and industrial products sectors with over 450,000 square foot of storage and over 38,000 pallet spaces across its five sites in Leighton Buzzard, Dunstable and Houghton Regis.
