This year, aZtec Commercial Cleaning, a commercial cleaning company based in Leighton Buzzard and Milton Keynes, have received their re-certification of ISO9001:2015. Having been certified since January 2011, this is the 10th year aZtec have held the ISO9001 certification.
WHAT IS ISO9001?
ISO 9001 is defined as the international standard, not specific to the commercial cleaning industry, that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS). Organisations use the ISO9001 standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF ISO9001 IN OUR COMMERCIAL & OFFICE CLEANING BUSINESS?
ISO 9001 helps aZtec ensure their commercial cleaning customers consistently receive high quality products and services, which in turn brings many benefits, including satisfied customers, employees and management.
Because ISO 9001 specifies the requirements for an effective quality management system, aZtec find that using the standard helps:
- Organise a quality management system (QMS)
- Create satisfied customers, management, and employees
- Continually improve processes
- Save costs
HOW DOES ISO9001 CERTIFICATION BENEFIT OUR COMMERCIAL CLIENTS?
ISO9001:2015 gives peace of mind to our office cleaning and commercial cleaning clients. Every year, aZtec are visited by an ISO9001 assessor, who checks our processes, paperwork and records. Should we be found to have any non-conformance areas, these are flagged and must be rectified swiftly. In short, if we say we provide a certain service, and are found not to follow through with this, we are at risk of losing our certification.
HOW ELSE DOES AZTEC STAY ON ITS TOES?
Although the ISO9001 certification is key to improving and maintaining our standards, aZtec also have a key service differential. At aZtec, we don’t tie our customers into a long contract. We strongly believe that if we are not providing the expected level of commercial office cleaning service, we don’t deserve to keep our client. By allowing clients to leave within 1, 2 or 3 months depending on the length of service, we manage to keep ourselves on our toes and therefore provide the closest thing we can to guaranteeing an expected service. After being in business for over 40 years cleaning offices, schools, showrooms and surgeries, we must be doing something right.
